The COTTON USA “I Love My Cotton” global campaign arrived in Hong Kong, featuring a cotton exhibition at iSquare in Tsim Sha Tsui alongside seven COTTON USA brand licensees. Byford, Casablanca, Chicks, Enfant, Teelocker, Hattric & Calamar and Wacoal exhibited U.S. cotton products at the event.

“We are truly impressed by the various promotional activities that COTTON USA has arranged in the region,” Alicia Tam, business development manager of Chicks, a COTTON USA licensee of more than 10 years, said. “U.S. cotton is natural, clean and sustainable, and we use U.S. cotton in our products which are comfortable, safe and trendy.”

Julian Ho, managing director of the British menswear brand Byford, added that most of his company’s products are made of cotton and U.S. cotton, because it’s breathable, soft and comfortable. “U.S. cotton is always our first choice in making the clothes, as it is clean, comfortable, high quality and sustainable,” Ho said. “Consumers are of the opinion that better quality clothes are made from 100% natural fibers like cotton.”

Ricky Cheng, vice chairman and executive director of Casablanca, also noted that U.S. cotton is of the highest quality. “Casablanca, as a listed company on the Stock Exchange, has to provide our customers the best quality products which are made of the best quality of raw materials,” Cheng said. “U.S. cotton is clean, with less contamination, and for the consumers that means our home textile products are clean, non-irritating and safe. When they see our products carrying the COTTON USA hangtag, they think it's a first-class and high-quality product.”

These three licensees—Chicks, Byford and Casablanca—joined Ella Koon, a much-loved singer in Hong Kong, on stage and advised her on how to select the best cotton products for her loved ones. Koon also shared her excitement about becoming a first-time mom, and emphasized that as a mother, cotton is the best fabric for babies and families.

Other event attendees included: Melinda Meador, director of the U.S. Consulate General, Hong Kong and Macau, Agricultural Trade Office; Karin Malmstrom, director of China and Northeast Asia, Cotton Council International (CCI); and 25 representatives from COTTON USA’s licensees in Hong Kong.

For the past three months, COTTON USA has toured major cities on Mainland China, including Beijing, Dalian and Chengdu, before making a stop in Hong Kong. As of June 16, the event in Hong Kong has generated 73 pick-ups in the lifestyle and entertainment sections of print, online, broadcast and social media.
