COTTON USA Designer Innovates at London Fashion Week
COTTON USA's sponsored designer Faustine Steinmetz presented her Spring/Summer 2016 collection at London Fashion Week (LFW). This was the second time that Faustine Steinmetz has received the prestigious LFW sponsorship. Her attention to detail to create quality, long-lasting garments is just one of the merits that made her a great fit for COTTON USA.
Steinmetz specialises in deconstruction, primarily of denim, and where many designers choose to showcase their designs on a runway, Steinmetz opted for a very different approach, showing her collection - and the models - through holes in a wall. This unique approach meant that attendees could appreciate the intricate detail of her collection up close, including denim jeans, jackets and skirts which were pleated, frayed and embroidered with floral detailing.
More than 150 journalists and bloggers attended the show, including top-tier media such as Suzy Menkes and Hamish Bowles from Vogue, Susanna Lau from Style Bubble and representatives from Grazia, Marie Claire and Sunday Times STYLE. This resulted in an overall readership of 92.3 million. More than 50 global buyers also attended the show representing retailers such as Selfridges, Harvey Nichols and Nordstrom.
